Mission
The Office of
Marriage and
Family Life, as an extension of
the Archbishop’s ministry, exists to encourage, equip, and build up the
body of
Christ in the Archdiocese of Edmonton through a variety of programs and
resources designed to promote an authentic Catholic vision of marriage,
human
sexuality, and family life. Programs include (or are under development)
marriage preparation, marriage enrichment, natural family planning
classes, and
the annual World Marriage Day Celebration.

Marriage
Preparation
It is strongly recommended
that the Marriage course be taken at least six months before the
wedding date.
Below are links for our Marriage Preparation courses both Regular and
Enriched classes. Please note that our classes are on a first
come first serve basis and we do not take registrations over the phone.
Once you have downloaded the
brochure just fill out the registration form along with your payment to
the Office of Marriage and Family Life. When payment has
been received a letter of confirmation and receipt of payment will be
sent to you.
Please note if you are coming
into the office to pay for a marriage preparation course and you are
bringing cash, please try to bring exact change. Your
co-operation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

- REFOCCUS - marriage
inventory for couples married awhile.

Relationship Interaction, Decision-making Growth and Enrichment Through
Spirituality)

developing marriage preparation programs
- C-PREP (Christian
Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program) - Marriage improvement
program.
- Newlywed Connections -
monthly seminars on topics of interest to newlyweds.
