The Saint Thérèse Vocation Society
Members of the St. Thérèse Vocation Society recognize the need to pray for vocations. Prayer for those who have answered God's call and are trying to serve faithfully. Prayer for those who are still trying to discover God's plan for them.
Our members pledge to pray in 5 ways:
- Offer a daily prayer for an increase in vocations to the priesthood.
- Offer a daily prayer for the priests ordained and serving in our Archdiocese.
- Make a Holy Hour each week (in church or at home) for an increase in vocations in our Archdiocese, for the perseverance of the seminarians now studying for the priesthood and for an outpouring of grace upon the priests serving in our Archdiocese.
- Attend Mass once a month (illness excluding) for these same intentions.
- Offer a share in any sufferings I may experience for an increase in vocations in our Archdiocese and an increase in zeal, fervor, and grace for our priests, religious, and consecrated laity serving our Archdiocese.
If you would like a folder about the St. Thérèse Vocation Society with all the above prayers, or if you would like to join, please e-mail the Vocation Director at: vocatio@edmontoncatholic-church.com.
"For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy."
