NOTES FROM CARDINAL BERGOGLIO'S PRE-CONCLAVE SPEECH
The Archbishop of Havana says that a speech given by Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio (now Pope Francis) during the Cardinal's pre-conclave meetings was "masterful" and "clear". Cardinal Ortega said that Cardinal Bergolgio gave him the handwritten notes of the speech, and the permission to share the contents. Click HERE to read the complete document.

This is shaping up to be an incredible event with 6 of our Albert bishops confirmed to attend. This will mirror the WYD closing weekend in Rio and we will have live feeds.
* An incredible Stations of the Cross dramatization on Friday
* A pilgrimage- with Reconciliation, Mass
* A priests vs youth soccer game
* Catechesis sessions with the Bishops
* A concert by Audrey Assad
* Adoration (Adoremus style) with our very own Bishop Bittman on Saturday, and then
* Sunday is a morning of music, testimonies and prayer that leads to the closing Mass with all the Bishops!!!

Taizé - Pine Ridge 2013
Whereas people from outside North America often have a romantic image of the Native American peoples drawn from films and novels, in recent times the media has increasing shown another face of life on Pine Ridge and other reservations. The story told is often one of unremitting poverty, violence, and despair. The young people there have another story to tell, one that avoids both extremes of idealization and hopelessness. In welcoming young adults from other parts of North America and beyond, they want to share their joy as well as their pain, highlighting both the priceless gifts of an age-old way of life and the great difficulties in continuing this way of life and adapting it to contemporary society.
